About the Role
RegSensus is transforming how financial institutions manage regulatory compliance by connecting monitoring, reporting, and surveillance through an intelligent, automated approach to Regulatory Intelligence. This role focuses on the complex area of trade surveillance, where firms need to identify possible market abuse across vast trading data volumes. You will collaborate with compliance, engineering, data science, and regulatory specialists to enhance detection, reduce false positives, and improve surveillance workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the trade surveillance product area, setting its direction, priorities, and roadmap.
- Collaborate with compliance and surveillance teams at large financial institutions to understand problems, challenge assumptions, and translate needs into product decisions.
- Partner with Engineering and Data Science to improve detection capabilities, reduce false positives, and solve problems with complex trading data.
- Work closely with Regs and Customer Success to ensure product decisions are informed by regulatory expertise, client needs, and practical usage.
- Utilize data, customer feedback, and product performance to guide focus, balancing individual client needs with broader product strategy.
- Shape the integration of trade surveillance into the wider FundApps product offering as SteelEye and FundApps converge, defining product connections, overlaps, and evolution.
Requirements
- Possess strong product leadership experience, having owned a complex B2B software product or area with accountability for its direction, priorities, and outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong product judgment, capable of making decisions amidst competing customer, commercial, and technical needs.
- Have experience in Financial services or RegTech; direct trade surveillance experience is a plus.
- Possess credibility with senior clients and stakeholders, comfortable working with large financial institutions and navigating diverse perspectives.
- Exhibit technical confidence to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Data Science on complex data and algorithm-driven products.
- Show ability to build domain depth quickly, developing a strong understanding of trade surveillance, market abuse, and detection models.
- Require permission to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
