Responsibilities

  • Own material planning for assigned components and assemblies across production, engineering builds, and ramps.
  • Translate production demand into supply plans within the ERP system, balancing service levels, inventory, and cost.
  • Set and maintain planning parameters and master data to accurately reflect supplier capabilities.
  • Prepare materials for engineering changes, new parts, and product transitions while minimizing obsolescence.
  • Report clear-to-build status, material coverage, and run-out risk, and conduct scenario planning for production and leadership.
  • Determine safety stock and order quantities based on data analysis.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned suppliers, driving on-time delivery, resolving shortages, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Support supplier ramps for new programs and production phases.
  • Enhance planning processes, tools, and reporting to accommodate new factories and products.

Requirements

  • A degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, operations, finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or manufacturing within a hardware or industrial company.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems in discrete manufacturing, including BOMs, part lifecycles, and procure-to-pay processes.
  • Proficient data analysis skills with the ability to make clear decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and hold suppliers accountable for their commitments.
  • Clear and direct written and verbal communication skills.
