About the Role
We are seeking research engineers to accelerate post-training models for the GTM and sales domain. This role involves working directly with founders to fine-tune intelligence and push the Pareto Frontier in our domain, impacting thousands of sales reps and leaders daily.
Responsibilities
- Iterate on datasets, training stages, and hyperparameters to determine model behavior.
- Measure how choices compound across evals and production performance.
- Build evaluations that capture what matters and ensure their integrity.
- Dig deep to understand why training produces unexpected results and carry that understanding forward.
- Apply and advance techniques like RLHF, RLAIF, and constitutional approaches to shape agent reasoning and behavior.
- Measure performance scaling with data and compute.
- Develop new methodologies when existing ones hit ceilings.
Requirements
- A track record of advancing ML systems through post-training, alignment, or related methods (RLHF, RLAIF, preference modeling, reward learning, or equivalent).
- Strong fundamentals in probability, statistics, and ML theory.
- Ability to look at experimental data and distinguish real effects from noise and bugs.
- Evidence of original contributions or working on similar problems in industry.
- Unique ability to understand end-user tasks and domain, building user empathy and intuition around judging quality.
