About the Role
Hyde Park Schools seeks a dynamic, experienced, and Christ-centered Head Football Coach to lead and develop the K4–12 football program. This role involves providing leadership, administrative direction, and oversight, fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, sportsmanship, and respect, and integrating a Biblical worldview into all program aspects. The primary purpose of athletics is to develop strong Christian young men and women, provide education through sport, and pursue excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, administrative direction, and oversight of the entire K4–12 football program.
- Establish a unified vision and develop the football program from youth through Varsity competition.
- Oversee program development and mentor coaching staff across all levels.
- Establish consistent expectations and create a clear pathway for athlete development.
- Lead the program in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, sportsmanship, and respect.
- Integrate a Biblical worldview into all aspects of the program.
- Ensure decisions, relationships, communication, and daily actions reflect Christian principles.
- Establish high expectations and prepare athletes to compete at the highest level while honoring Christ.
- Foster meaningful relationships with student-athletes, families, faculty, and staff.
- Create an environment where every athlete feels valued, supported, challenged, and accountable.
- Strengthen alignment across youth, Middle School, and Upper School football programs.
- Ensure consistency in coaching philosophy, fundamental skills, character development, and program culture.
