About the Role
MSCI’s Data organization sources, transforms, certifies and distributes the data behind MSCI’s indexes, analytics, sustainability and private-assets products. As an intern, you will work directly with the Data Transformation Officer, maintain accurate operational records, produce leadership reporting, and prepare materials supporting decision-making, leadership meetings and townhalls. This is a business role focused on operations and analysis, requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Produce recurring reporting for the Data Transformation Officer and Chief Data Officer.
- Investigate discrepancies and inefficiencies in reporting.
- Automate manual reporting steps using scripting and AI tools.
- Maintain a current source of leadership information and priorities.
- Document recurring processes for easy handover.
- Coordinate townhalls and leadership forums, including speaker preparation and follow-up actions.
- Develop presentation materials for townhalls and forums.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Draft briefing notes, options papers, and executive summaries.
- Support quick-turnaround analysis for senior leadership.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in business, economics, finance, management, information systems or a related field.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, reliable follow-through, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work in person at MSCI headquarters for 15–20 hours per week.

- Strong Excel and data modeling skills.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Ability to translate complex input into clear, concise materials.
- Interest in branding and corporate messaging.
