About the Role
Valence Care is seeking a Field Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee Registered Nurses in NYC. This role involves assisting with staff education, training, and development, ensuring continuous learning and competence through in-house and field training.
Responsibilities
- Assist with staff education, training, and development.
- Provide continuing education, in-services, and training to staff.
- Ensure staff competence through ongoing development.
- Assist with the orientation of new staff on company policies and procedures.
- Conduct random field visits and complete annual performance evaluations.
- Accompany staff during survey visits.
- Utilize Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) reports for staff performance.
- Assist in screening, interviewing, and recommending personnel.
- Assist in the orientation of new personnel.
- Support the Educator in planning, implementing, and evaluating in-service and continuing education programs.
- Review patient's clinical diagnosis, medications, procedures, and clinical course.
- Assist clinicians in establishing therapeutic goals, setting priorities, and developing plans of care.
- Participate in software upgrades, testing, and staff education.
- Participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
- Participate in the Agency’s Emergency Preparedness Plan.
- Comply with acceptable professional standards and practice.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; ADN or BSN.
- CHHA Homecare nursing experience is required.
- Must have a vehicle to travel to patients.
- Up-to-date knowledge of OASIS.
- Must have current NYS license and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
Skills
- Knowledge of OASIS guidance, interpretation and time points.
- Knowledgeable of CHHA Regulatory guidelines per Center for Medicare and Medicaid, New York State Department of Health (DOH) and Joint Commission (JC).
- Knowledge of Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) reports.
- Bi-Lingual preferred (Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese).
