About the Role
Juliet Italian Kitchen in the Arboretum is seeking a lunch server to provide friendly, responsive service, creating an exceptional dining experience and encouraging guest return.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to.
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
- Make genuine recommendations for food and beverages.
- Answer questions about menu items, beverages, and restaurant services.
- Suggest wine pairings for food orders.
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly.
- Perform side work at the start and end of shifts.
- Maintain clean service areas.
- Monitor guest dining experiences and respond promptly to requests.
- Prepare bills, accept payments, and process credit card charges.
- Assist fellow servers as needed.
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables.
- Thank guests and invite them to return.
- Fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant front of house staff.
- Ability to work closely with other staff at a consistently fast pace.
- Ability to perform a variety of time-constrained tasks.
- Requires good memory to avoid confusing orders and recall patron details.
- Lifts and carries up to 25 pounds for stocking.
