About the Role
Join a customer-facing engineering team delivering AI-native software for state, local, and federal government clients. You will own technical projects from initial discovery through deployment and ongoing support, helping modernize systems that support public services.
Responsibilities
- Work with government clients to understand their needs, design solutions, and deliver projects end to end.
- Build and iterate on software using AI coding tools as a regular part of your workflow.
- Create reusable components, data models, and workflows that support future deployments.
- Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders, balancing client engagement with hands-on engineering.
- Travel occasionally to client sites to understand requirements and support delivery in person.
Requirements
- One to five years of experience as a forward deployed engineer or customer-facing software engineer.
- Experience owning a technical deployment from initial build through customer adoption and post-deployment maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or similar.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills, including backend and frontend development, data modeling, and workflow design.
- Experience in software- or model-focused AI, an early-stage technology company, or public-sector and government-facing work is valuable.
- A technical degree or equivalent experience, with strong computer science or engineering fundamentals.
- Current U.S. work authorization that does not require employer sponsorship.
