About the Role
Juliet Italian Kitchen in the Arboretum is seeking a seasonal, part-time bartender to assist with holiday parties and events. The role involves providing excellent customer service by preparing and serving a variety of beverages, managing payments, and maintaining the bar area.
Responsibilities
- Fills drink orders taken directly from patrons or through servers.
- Checks customer identification to ensure legal age for alcohol and tobacco purchase.
- Prepares mixed drinks accurately, serves beer and wine, and pours other beverages.
- Stocks and prepares garnishes, maintains ice, glasses, and bar supplies, and keeps the bar area clean.
- Collects payment and operates the POS system.
- Washes glassware and utensils.
- Serves food to customers dining at the bar.
- Maintains an inventory of liquor, mixes, and bar supplies.
- Informs supervisors of inventory shortages.
- Serves and interacts with patrons.
- Operates bar equipment to mix drinks.
- Adheres to assigned work schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- TABC certification.
- Food Handler certification.
- General knowledge of bar drink recipes and enthusiasm for craft.
- Quality customer service skills.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant front of house staff and/or bartending.
- Ability to work closely with other staff at a fast pace while performing time-sensitive tasks.
- Good memory for customer orders, faces, names, and preferences.
- Basic POS skills for order placement and billing.
- Stands and walks behind the bar for the duration of the shift.
- Lifts and carries up to 25 pounds to stock the bar.
