About the Role
Maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of light and heavy construction equipment and tools to ensure they are Rental Ready and safe to operate. This role involves conducting damage assessments, performing safety inspections, and coordinating parts needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of light and heavy construction equipment and tools.
- Conduct damage assessments, complete reports of equipment damage, and record usage details.
- Perform safety and compliance inspections of equipment and company vehicles.
- Perform timely equipment check out/check in.
- Load and unload equipment and attachments.
- Coordinate parts needs, complete parts orders, and assist with maintaining parts inventory.
- Follow manufacturer and company installation and service guidelines.
- Keep work area clean to ensure a safe work environment.
- Demonstrate equipment operation to customers.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, rules, and laws.
- Greet internal and external customers and assist with inquiries.
- Assist with washing and cleaning equipment and moving equipment around the rental yard.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Operate company vehicle regularly to perform essential job functions.
- Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Attend scheduled training classes, department, and safety meetings.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Display excellent communication skills, including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation.
- Respectfully take direction from supervisor/manager.
Requirements
- Must possess good working knowledge of diesel and gas engines, heavy equipment components, and use of related tools and techniques.
- A drug screen and background check is required.
