About the Role
We are expanding the team at QT Sydney's dining and bar venues, including Gowings Restaurant, Gowings Bar, Parlour, and the Events team. We are seeking experienced waitstaff and bartenders with a background in premium restaurants or high-end bars who excel at delivering polished, personable service. You will be detail-oriented, adept at reading a room, and ensure every guest feels well-cared for throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, refined service across your allocated section from arrival to departure
- Present menus, offer knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations, and take accurate orders
- Handle special occasions, dietary requirements, guest requests and feedback with confidence and care
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks quickly and to a consistently high standard
- Offer confident drink recommendations and engage guests across the bar and floor
- Keep the bar stocked, organised and presented to QT standards
- Serve alcohol responsibly in line with NSW RSA requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in a premium or fine dining restaurant, high-end bar or hotel
- Confidence working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
- Strong food and beverage knowledge, including wine service fundamentals (and cocktail craft for bar roles)
- A current NSW RSA certificate
- A polished, warm manner with excellent attention to detail
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
