Process member purchases accurately and efficiently.

Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payment.

Maintain the cleanliness of the front-line department.

Maintain GOLD club standards daily, including a grand opening look.
Execute all stocking and promotional plans.
Maintain visible and accurate signage.
Keep the club clean and organized, inside and out.
Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting.
See the connection between consistent execution and business impact.
Exhibit clear understanding of all BJ's Membership options, including renewals and upgrades.
Offer all appropriate membership products and loyalty programs.
Check members out in a timely and efficient manner.
Fill shopping carts and assist at self-checkout stations.
Issue receipts or change to members.
Stay up-to-date on merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information.
Discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons.
Assist in general club housekeeping.
Return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor.
Manage self-checkout and scan and pan lanes.
Assist members with operational and technical difficulties.
Meet cashier productivity expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments.
Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.

Requirements

Basic math skills preferred.
Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.
Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT, is recognized, but authentic self-expression is valued.
