About the Role
Veolia is seeking HGV Drivers to join their team, playing a pivotal role in delivering essential services to local communities and making a positive impact. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to environmental efforts and be part of an inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean public areas including cleansing of streets, channels, footpaths, alleys, subways, under and around street furniture using equipment supplied.
- Perform duties in an efficient & effective manner that will ensure maximum productivity.
- Accurately complete appropriate forms/paperwork or electronic tablet allocated work.
- Comply with any site conditions ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed and appropriate Veolia PPE is worn at all times.
- Work as part of a team or on your own.
- Report locations of any fly tipping, graffiti, fly posting as well as damaged/missing litter bins.
- Ensure the vehicle cab is left clear of all litter, uniform and personal effects at the end of the shift.
- Report any accidents that occur during your shift to the manager and complete all accident reports before leaving work.
- Undertake full training, working mainly outside in all weathers.
Requirements
- Class 2 Driving Licence
- An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
- Ability to work well as part of a team with clear communication skills.
- Local geographical knowledge is highly desirable, including experience of driving in the area.
