About the Role

Axiom is seeking an experienced regulatory lawyer for a full-time, 9-12 month role in Sydney with a well-known telecommunications and technology company. This role offers the chance to provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders and work with a high-caliber team.

Responsibilities

Provide timely, strategic, and commercially focused legal advice to support regulatory uplift programs, business decision-making, compliance, and customer outcomes.
Offer ongoing legal support on regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with telecommunications laws, industry codes, and emerging digital platform regulations.
Manage regulatory enforcement matters by mitigating legal risks, offering customer-focused advice, supervising external resources, and ensuring timely stakeholder reporting.
Promote legal and regulatory compliance through team training, education, and support for readiness and adherence to new and existing laws.

Requirements

Qualified Australian solicitor with over 5 years of legal experience specializing in regulatory and telecommunications matters.
Experience in telecommunications or regulatory fields.
Adept at working in fast-paced environments and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Skilled in delivering commercially focused legal and regulatory support.
Strong abilities in drafting, negotiation, project management, and communication.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard office tools.
Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
