  • Monitor coverage, texture, color, cure time, oven temperature, and overall finish quality.
  • Inspect finished parts for defects such as thin coverage, contamination, orange peel, pinholes, scratches, chips, inconsistent texture, or color variation.
  • Perform basic touch up, rework, and corrective preparation, or escalate finish concerns.
  • Read and follow basic work orders, fabrication drawings, specifications, production travelers, labels, and verbal instructions.
  • Handle finished and unfinished parts carefully to prevent damage, contamination, and rework.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including routine cleaning of equipment, booths, tools, floors, racks, and surrounding areas.
  • Track materials, powders, masking supplies, hooks, racks, and related shop consumables.
  • Follow all company procedures, safety rules, personal protective equipment requirements, and environmental handling requirements.
  • Work with fabrication, assembly, quality, and production personnel to support schedule requirements and timely completion of customer orders.

Requirements

  • Entry level to three (3) years of powder coating, paint shop, manufacturing, automotive painting, metal finishing, or related hands-on production experience preferred.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work orders, basic drawings, specifications, and established procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize visible finish defects or quality issues.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, and care in handling parts.
