About the Role
Parabit Systems, a company in the security and self-service equipment industries, is seeking an experienced and motivated individual with a comprehensive understanding of metal work and finishing to fabricate top-quality finished products.
Responsibilities
- Grind, sand, and fill uneven surfaces, polish and coat metal, and etch decorative details.
- Remove dents, scratches, and defects from metal surfaces using stroke sanders, hand power tools, and pneumatic tools.
- Operate a variety of machines for metal finishing.
- Follow safety instructions, including P.P.E., and fill out paperwork to accurately track traceability on all parts.
- Read and review fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Consistently work within tight tolerances.
- Manufacture high-quality products.
- Utilize knowledge of sanding, preparation, finishing, application, polishing, repair, and manual machining techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge in various millwork products such as laminates, solid surfacing, painted finishes, and stainless steel.
- Adhere to established procedures, processes, and policies.
- Exhibit self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in metal work.
- Proficient in fabricating top-quality finished products.
- Ability to read and review shop drawings.
- Strong work ethic and personal commitment to quality and service.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized, reliable, trustworthy, and efficacy-driven.
- Able to work as a team and motivate employees.
- Must pass a NON-DOT Drug screening, Criminal and Credit Background Check, and a Driver License Check prior to employment.
