About the Role
Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is seeking dependable and motivated Cook Helpers for immediate opportunities within secure juvenile facilities throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. This role is ideal for candidates with kitchen, food prep, hospitality, customer service, childcare, warehouse, or institutional support experience who are looking for flexible work opportunities in NYC facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist Cooks with food preparation and meal service
- Wash, chop, portion, and prepare ingredients
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment
- Safely operate kitchen tools and kitchen equipment
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety procedures
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies
- Work professionally alongside facility staff and security personnel
Requirements
- Previous kitchen, food prep, or food service experience preferred
- Institutional, facility, or commercial kitchen experience is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40-50 lbs
- Must be dependable, punctual, and adaptable
- Must be able to pass required background clearances
- Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply
