Responsibilities
- Initiate automotive services and repairs.
- Check vehicle performance problems and service requests, verifying warranty and service contract coverage.
- Develop estimates, write repair orders, and maintain customer records.
- Act as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician.
- Ensure the technician understands the customer's needs and the customer understands the needed and recommended service/repairs.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
- Calculate customer's payment, including deductibles.
- Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.
- Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
- Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
- Keep customer informed of service specials, completion times, and service expenses.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Service Advisor experience, preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician a plus.
- A team player focused on providing customer service.
- Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Valid driver's license in your state of residence.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have open availability, including Saturdays.
