  • Partner across American Express to define and champion industry standards and protocols for Agentic Payments.
  • Analyze adoption trends, performance metrics, customer outcomes, and partner feedback to drive continuous optimization.
  • Partner with platform, network, and growth teams to ensure alignment across platform capabilities, infrastructure investments, and future innovation initiatives.
  • Balance near-term execution priorities with long-term strategy to support the overall product vision.
  • Keep a pulse on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry shifts in payments to inform continuous product evolution.
  • Collaborate across Amex Digital Labs to identify ways to continuously build better products and drive an innovation first culture.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic integrations across AI platforms, digital wallets, PSPs, merchants, and ecosystem partners.
  • Translate platform capabilities into scalable partner implementations that balance customer experience, technical feasibility, risk, and business objectives.
  • Influence partner roadmaps and integration priorities to align with American Express ecosystem objectives.
  • Bring structure to ambiguous, cross-ecosystem problems by defining how data flows across merchants, PSPs, and AI/LLM partners to support fraud, servicing, and Card Member experiences.
  • Define and manage development and release timelines, navigate complex dependencies, and clearly communicate impacts and updates to stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Fraud and Servicing to define strategies for fraud prevention, dispute management, and call or chat handling related to agentic transactions.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to develop and adhere to governance principles and payments regulations to ensure compliant and secure payment experiences.
  • Support audit processes and respond to regulatory inquiries as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, leading product development initiatives, or similar role.
  • Experience launching products across multi-sided platforms and ecosystem businesses.
  • Experience launching products, partnerships, or capabilities within rapidly evolving markets.
  • Experience utilizing customer research, analytics, and data to drive product strategy and roadmap decisions.
  • Strong customer empathy and a passion for building exceptional products and services; skilled at clearly articulating user needs and product functionality.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across cross-functional teams; able to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Ability to reconcile competing needs across customers, stakeholders, and partners, making effective decisions and gaining buy-in.
  • Proven experience leading strategic integrations, platform partnerships, ecosystem products, or large-scale technology initiatives.
  • Highly organized self-starter with strong ownership mentality and business track record.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, platform architectures, developer ecosystems, and integration models.
  • Experienced in collaborating closely with engineering; able to bridge business goals with technical implementation and speak fluently across disciplines.
  • Intellectually curious with a systems-thinking mindset; able to connect dots across functions and uncover innovation opportunities within complex environments.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical; adept at framing key questions, interpreting data, and making informed product decisions.

  • Team player, comfortable with ambiguity, open to feedback, willing to collaborate and grow.
  • Flexible and comfortable with iteration; embraces a test-and-learn approach and continuously adapts based on user insights, data, and team input.
