About the Role
Base is seeking a Global Supply Manager to manage relationships with contract manufacturers (CMs) responsible for electromechanical top-level assemblies. This role involves owning the total delivered cost of finished units across the CM network and collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics teams on product scaling.
Responsibilities
- Manage RFQs from scope definition to supplier award.
- Develop should-cost models for pricing benchmarks and cost reduction initiatives.
- Negotiate piece prices, tooling, payment terms, and master agreements.
- Cultivate key supplier relationships, track performance, and manage escalations.
- Establish global commodity strategies balancing cost, supply continuity, and risk.
- Prepare suppliers for production ramp-up, including capacity, lead times, and end-of-life.
- Present award, cost, and risk recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience in hardware manufacturing.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier escalations, including at the executive level.
- Strong cost modeling and Excel skills.
- Clear, direct written and verbal communication.
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
