- Engage deeply in architecture and system design, participate in technical reviews, and make hands-on engineering contributions.
- Drive an API-first, contract-driven approach to tool development with versioned CLI contracts, schemas, and ownership metadata.
- Establish and enforce patterns, templates, and contribution standards for distributed teams.
- Lead the build-out of the information retrieval (IR) evaluation framework.
- Champion full-stack operational ownership, including on-call rotations, SLO definitions, incident response, and health monitoring.
- Partner with TR Labs and CoCounsel Engineering to ensure content tools meet agentic workflow interface requirements.
- Oversee platform infrastructure, including cloud services, observability tooling, rate limiting, caching, and access controls.
- Serve as the engineering accountability point for the Content Tools ecosystem, including standards and guardrails for partner teams.
- Define and maintain contribution workflows, architectural review criteria, and consistency checks.
- Manage tool lifecycle policies, including deprecation, migration support, and versioning strategies.
- Build and maintain a centralized tool registry with machine-readable descriptions and usage guidance.
- Establish shared development infrastructure, including common libraries and boilerplate generators.
- Build and lead a team of 8 software engineers, managing hiring, onboarding, performance, and professional development.
- Develop engineers with strong software fundamentals and domain fluency in information retrieval and agentic system design.
- Foster a culture of empowered ownership with autonomy and accountability.
- Translate complex content technology concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Model and reinforce AI-assisted development as a team norm.
- Define and maintain engineering processes for building shared infrastructure and delivering production capabilities.
- Establish platform health and developer experience benchmarks and use them to drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging tool protocols and retrieval patterns.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with Labs, Product, and CoCounsel Engineering.
- Collaborate across the organization to align the Content Tools roadmap with business priorities.
