About the Role
The Food and Nutrition Department on the Manhattan campus is looking for Food Service Workers to join their team. This role involves general knowledge of food preparation and handling, executing various food service assignments, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the storage preparation, portioning and serving food.
- Cleans immediate work areas and maintains clean and sanitary work environment.
- Washing of small wares and equipment, conforming to all sanitary codes and standards.
- Prepares cold foods, salads and nourishment as needed or required.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Able to work as a team member.
- Able to work independently given the proper direction.
- Can provide a clean, safe and neat environment for residents, self and staff.
Skills
- General knowledge of food preparation.
- General knowledge of food handling technique.
