About the Role
Skilled Wound Care is seeking Family Medicine Physicians in Manhattan, NY, to transition from traditional primary care challenges to a specialized role in wound care within skilled nursing facilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to focus on patient care, perform hands-on procedures, and gain clinical autonomy without the administrative burdens of typical healthcare systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
- Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
- Utilize advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
- Provide collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings, following patients through healing.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution; must be board-eligible.
- Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice or eligibility to obtain one.
- DEA License or eligibility to obtain one.
- Open to Family Medicine physicians, Internal Medicine physicians, and surgeons.
- No previous wound care or procedural experience required; comprehensive training provided.
