About the Role
Skilled Wound Care is hiring Trauma Surgeons in Manhattan, NY to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a high-impact career without the corporate red tape, providing a no-call lifestyle with predictable Monday-Friday hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
- Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds, including pressure injuries and post-surgical wounds.
- Utilize advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
- Engage in collaborative care within skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, following patients through healing.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution; board-eligible.
- Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice or eligibility to obtain one.
- DEA License or eligibility to obtain one.
- Trauma and Acute Care Surgeons, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine physicians are welcome.
- No previous wound care experience required; comprehensive training provided.
- Willingness to perform pre-employment confidential DiSC testing and relevant skills testing.
