About the Role
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring an Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant for our Program in Poughkeepsie, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children and helping them learn through play and positive experiences.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum, tailored to the unique needs and interests of the children.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and family members through the Playground App.
- Cultivate positive adult-child interactions utilizing the CLASS method.
- Support the education, health, welfare, and safety of classroom members by adhering to ECERS/ITERS standards and protocols.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.
