About the Role
Optum NY is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join their team in Wantagh, NY. This role is part of the Optum Care Delivery team, contributing to the vision of making healthcare better for everyone. You will have the support of a global organization to help patients live healthier lives in a collaborative environment focused on diversity, inclusion, and the Quadruple Aim.
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic x-ray examinations
- Performs radiology quality assurance
- Takes vital signs, performs EKGs and assists providers with patient care
- Prepares exam rooms and x-ray room for patients and documents patient encounters in EMR
- Performs lab testing and quality assurance
- Prepares and tracks specimens sent to lab
- Perform MA duties as needed
- Restocks and maintains inventory of exam rooms, lab and storage rooms
- Places outgoing phone calls to patients for follow up care and handles incoming phone calls from patients
- Assists with other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited radiology technologist program
- NYS radiology licensure and ARRT registration
- Customer service experience and solid computer skills
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
