About the Role

Lead product development for Oscar Virtual Care (OVC), enhancing member access to care and clinician delivery. Your work will cover the entire patient experience, from initial contact through post-visit follow-up. Oscar's integrated health plan and care delivery model allow for direct connection between product decisions and care quality/cost. You will collaborate with clinical and business partners to identify technological solutions for improving virtual care access, supporting clinical workflows, and reducing administrative burdens.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Virtual Care, prioritizing investments based on impact to affordability, clinical outcomes, member experience, and operating efficiency.
  • Lead discovery with members, clinicians, and operations teams, using user research and data analysis to identify problems, challenge assumptions, and build business cases for product investments.
  • Improve the member journey from finding and accessing care through the visit and follow-up, reducing friction in intake and scheduling, improving visit completion, and facilitating context sharing among care teams.
  • Build tools to help clinicians deliver high-quality care efficiently, including reviewing medical history, documenting encounters, addressing care gaps, and ordering appropriate tests and treatments. Evaluate AI and automation opportunities to reduce administrative work while maintaining clinical quality.
  • Define success metrics and measure the clinical, financial, and operational impact of product changes, using findings to refine priorities and improve the experience post-launch.
  • Lead alignment across clinical, operations, engineering, design, and data science partners, providing clear recommendations, navigating competing needs and tradeoffs, and establishing decisions to advance work.
  • Own complex initiatives from problem definition through delivery, writing clear requirements, managing dependencies and risks, and resolving cross-team issues with expected autonomy.
  • Mentor and develop more junior team members to strengthen the product team's talent.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, designers, operations experts, and others in a Product Management or Product Management-adjacent role.
  • 4+ years of experience in driving rigorous prioritization processes.
  • 4+ years of experience with tech systems and understanding basic technology infrastructure (e.g., backend services, database relationships, SQL).
  • 2+ years of experience leading complex, cross-domain initiatives.
  • 2+ years of experience root-causing ambiguous problems, building roadmaps, and successfully executing against them.
  • 1+ years of experience building clinician-facing experiences.
