About the Role
This role supports Delivery Professionals in getting orders to customers on time and accurately. You will work alongside a CDL driver, riding in the delivery truck and assisting with unloading and delivery. No CDL is required. There is room for growth over time, and strong performers have the opportunity to advance into a non-CDL delivery driver role. The job is physically demanding and involves work in extreme or inclement weather. Schedules may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Ride along with a CDL driver and help unload meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, and supplies.
- Move products to customer storage areas using hand trucks, electric pallet jacks, or manual methods.
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers and help verify delivery accuracy.
- Follow safety and food safety procedures, including monitoring refrigeration during deliveries.
- Label and organize goods, handle returns or damaged products, and help with delivery paperwork.
- Help clean the truck and secure equipment after deliveries.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or move up to 75 lbs. unassisted, and to use mechanical aids for heavier items.
- Comfortable with physically demanding work: bending, twisting, reaching, and working in all weather.
- Stamina for long hours, plus the ability to navigate steps, docks, and ramps.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for payments and invoices.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
