About the Role

The Finance Transformation, Accounting Advisory Manager leads client engagements focused on improving finance operations, enhancing business processes, and supporting finance transformation initiatives. This role involves assessing current-state processes, developing solutions, and implementing improvements to drive operational effectiveness and business value, acting as a trusted advisor to finance organizations.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day execution of finance transformation and accounting advisory engagements.
Manage project workplans, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and client expectations.
Conduct assessments of finance operations, processes, controls, and organizational structures.
Analyze current-state finance processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support transformation initiatives across key finance functions including Lead-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, and FP&A.
Develop recommendations, process improvements, and implementation roadmaps.
Facilitate client workshops, process-mapping sessions, and stakeholder interviews.
Assist clients with process redesign, operating model improvements, and technology-enabled transformation.
Collaborate with technology, risk, tax, audit, and other advisory teams.
Identify project risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.
Build strong working relationships with client management and key stakeholders.
Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for client teams.
Provide regular project updates and communicate progress, risks, and key decisions.
Deliver high-quality client service ensuring projects meet scope, budget, and timeline expectations.
Identify opportunities to enhance client value.
Manage and mentor Senior Associates, Associates, and Consultants.
Delegate responsibilities and provide coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
Review work products for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Support team development through knowledge sharing, training, and mentorship.
Assist with engagement staffing and resource coordination.
Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices.
Assist with proposal development, presentations, and client pursuits.
Participate in internal initiatives to enhance service offerings and delivery capabilities.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and finance transformation methodologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
6+ years of experience in public accounting, consulting, finance transformation, accounting advisory, or a combination of consulting and industry finance experience.
Experience leading workstreams or managing project teams within finance transformation, accounting advisory, or business process improvement engagements.
Strong knowledge of finance and accounting processes, including Lead-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, and FP&A.
Experience conducting operational and financial assessments and developing actionable solutions.
Understanding of finance operating models, process improvement methodologies, and transformation frameworks.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, automation platforms, and data analytics solutions.
Strong project management, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality client service in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 25-40%.
Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
