This role supports children during times of crisis, providing free, professional, temporary care.
Responsibilities
- Recognize, document, and act on suspected abuse, illness, or accidents.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment for children.
- Provide constant surveillance of the outdoor environment.
- Ensure children receive nutritious meals meeting daily requirements.
- Maintain order and constant supervision of children.
- Help children learn by setting appropriate limits.
- Collaborate with childcare providers, volunteers, and parents to meet children's needs.
- Consult professionally with parents, providers, and family members.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Record timely, complete, and legible documentation of observed child behaviors.
Requirements
- High School Degree, GED, or equivalent.
- 2 years of paid or unpaid childcare experience.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Offers may be contingent on a background check, driving record, and automobile insurance meeting agency requirements.
