About the Role
Join Unity on a full-time, one-year contract basis to own the marketing for a product area or set of launches. You will be responsible for producing positioning, launch plans, and enablement materials, quickly integrating into the role and asking the right questions.
Responsibilities
- Own positioning and messaging for your product areas, turning technical capability into clear workflow value for Sales, Community and Content.
- Lead launches, betas and rollouts, from tiering and channel plan to launch day, then give an honest read on what worked.
- Define who a product is for, from indie creators to technical directors, clearly enough that other teams can act on it.
- Write messaging that earns trust with skeptical practitioners, especially on AI claims, working with Community and DevRel.
- Track the competitive landscape and turn forum threads, interviews and feedback into sharp positioning and usable sales material.
- Equip Sales, Success and Support with decks, battlecards and objection handling, partner with Content on launch assets, and drive partner co-marketing.
- Define success for each launch with Product and Analytics, then report against it.
Requirements
- A track record of owning a product area or significant launch, prioritizing your own work and partnering with your manager on portfolio.
- Experience marketing to technical audiences such as developers, engineers or technical artists, with credibility among skeptical users.
- Exceptional writing that turns complex technology into a crisp narrative.
- Independent operator: you get oriented fast, drive work across teams you have just met, and produce finished artifacts. You are comfortable with ambiguity and shifting roadmaps.
- Strong data literacy: you set the right metrics, read performance honestly, and change course on evidence.
- Strong with AI tools such as Claude Code or Gemini, moving faster without letting output go out unchecked.
- Sufficient knowledge of English for professional verbal and written exchanges.
