About the Role

Red Hat is seeking a Consulting Services Manager to lead digital transformation and drive service business growth. This role involves proposing and implementing transformation approaches using advanced technologies like cloud-native architecture, application modernization, AI, and Red Hat products to address customer business challenges. The primary mission is to maximize service business opportunities while prioritizing customer success. You will collaborate with Project Managers to build client relationships and manage projects from scope definition to completion. Additionally, you will partner with sales teams to identify new business opportunities and develop account strategies for revenue expansion, leading pre-sales qualifications to closing and managing resources to achieve sales, revenue, and margin targets. You will also manage a team of 10-15 consultants, focusing on their development and performance.

Responsibilities

Define business strategy and manage opportunity pipeline to achieve sales targets for the assigned territory.
Develop account strategies in collaboration with account sales teams to maximize business opportunities and drive overall account growth.
Promote territory growth through strong internal collaboration with field sales, alliances, and partner programs.
Lead service opportunity plans and campaigns for assigned accounts in conjunction with the marketing team.
Manage accurate and consistent forecasting of revenue and sales within the territory, developing and executing recovery plans for any gaps.
Design and implement effective service solutions that deliver significant business impact for customer challenges, centered around Red Hat products.
Lead and support pre-sales and scoping for consulting solutions.
Monitor project status and customer satisfaction, driving delivery to ensure successful completion of all projects.
Manage a team of 10-15 consultants, building a high-performance team through coaching and support.
Develop and execute staffing and development plans for consulting resources based on future business needs.

Requirements

Knowledge and practical experience in technical or business consulting.
Project delivery experience.
Consulting pre-sales experience.
Ability to design complex solutions combining multiple products and technologies to achieve customer business value.
Basic understanding and strong interest in advanced technologies such as Agile development, application modernization, cloud-native architecture, and AI.
Engagement skills to build strong relationships with senior customer leaders (e.g., executives).
3+ years of people management experience and skills (goal setting, performance evaluation, development, etc.).
Knowledge of application development and cloud solutions.
Experience presenting at conferences or meetups, or equivalent presentation skills.
Native level Japanese language proficiency.
Business level English language proficiency.
