About the Role
As an Investment Professional within J.P. Morgan’s Alternatives Division, you will be part of a lean and entrepreneurial team making thematic global investments. You will be a key member of the team and work directly with the fund’s Portfolio Managers and Partners.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation of new investment opportunities
- Detailed due diligence
- Preparation of investment materials
- Participation in weekly team meetings including investment committees
- Active management of public and private portfolio companies
- Develop investment theses, themes, and market maps based on in-depth fundamental research
- Evaluate and analyze investment opportunities, with the purpose of forming independent investment decisions
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective investments
- Build and maintain financial models and valuation analyses
- Ongoing monitoring and support of public and private portfolio companies including earnings calls, investor presentations, and public/private conferences
- Maintain team’s CRM system and proprietary deal database
- Perform other responsibilities related to executing the investment mandate of the fund
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited University or College
- 2+ years of related work experience following completion of undergraduate program
- Strong analytic and communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Exhibit attention to detail with a demonstrable ability to review and articulate financial statements
- Team oriented mindset
- Exceptional work ethic
- Results oriented and self-motivated with an ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
- Demonstrable interest in technology and public/private market investing
