About the Role
This role involves performing residential siding and window repairs and installations, as well as interior repairs including spackling and painting. The technician will diagnose issues, ensure proper installation and finishing, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential siding repairs, replacements, and installations.
- Work with various siding materials, including vinyl and other common residential siding products.
- Diagnose siding damage, moisture intrusion, and installation deficiencies.
- Properly install siding panels, trim, corners, and associated components.
- Ensure proper fit, alignment, weatherproofing, and finished appearance.
- Independently perform residential window repairs and installations.
- Remove and replace existing windows as needed.
- Diagnose window leaks, drafts, operational issues, and installation deficiencies.
- Install and properly seal windows, flashing, trim, and related components.
- Complete adjustments and finish work to ensure proper operation and appearance.
- Repair drywall damage resulting from leaks, window replacements, or other residential service needs.
- Perform drywall patching, spackling, sanding, and surface preparation.
- Apply interior paint and touch-ups to achieve a clean, professional finish.
- Match existing textures and finishes whenever possible.
- Complete trim, caulking, and other minor finish work as needed.
- Independently assess service needs and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete assigned projects with minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding repairs and project completion.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of residential construction, home improvement, or service technician experience preferred.
- Proven experience with residential siding repair and installation.
- Strong experience with residential window repair and installation.
- Hands-on experience with drywall repairs, spackling, sanding, and painting.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and complete repairs across multiple trades.
- Strong knowledge of construction tools, materials, and installation techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to safely work on ladders, at heights, and on residential job sites.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, organized, and self-motivated.
- Experience working in residential roofing or exterior home improvement.
- Knowledge of moisture intrusion, flashing, sealing, and weatherproofing.
- Experience completing warranty repairs and homeowner service calls.
- Ability to manage multiple repair tasks and prioritize daily assignments.
