About the Role

This position will interpret, apply and comply with TACTAIR and customer requirements as well as standards and other industry documents that control the performance of nondestructive testing.

Responsibilities

Perform Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Testing to determine product acceptability to engineering requirements.
Conduct nondestructive inspections to support manufacturing and business needs as required.
Provide technical assistance and training to Level I Inspectors and Trainees.
Interpret, evaluate and document test results and generate NDT inspection reports.
Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations and provide protection to self and others during testing.
Maintain equipment and assures calibration for tests to be performed.
Maintain inventory control of area supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.
Documented Level II qualifications in accordance with National Aerospace Standard 410 (NAS410) in Penetrant and Magnetic Particle methods.
Hands on experience performing the above processes.
Good communication skills, both writing and speaking.
High School Graduate or equivalent; Basic computer knowledge and applications.
Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require frequent walking primarily on a level surface.
Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to move materials throughout the workday.
Proper lifting techniques required.
May include lifting up to 25 pounds.
May include frequent pulling, pushing, and grasping.
The primary environment of this position is the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection, and proper footwear.
