About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide flexible, dependable hours for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. This role offers reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
Assist with access control, tenant service requests, and communications with site management, emergency responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
