About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position offers the opportunity to support critical operations while embodying Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or potential hazards.
- Monitor access to restricted and operational areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation and shift communications, and support coordination with site operations personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
