About the Role
Join United Airlines' Technical Operations team as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) and contribute to maintaining our world-class fleet. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated aircraft and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring our planes are flight-ready.
Responsibilities
- Provide service and maintenance for aircraft systems, Powerplant, Airframe and Components.
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, parts replacement and repair.
- Conduct routine maintenance on aircraft.
- Collaborate professionally and seamlessly with co-workers.
- Work in various weather conditions, including temperature extremes.
- Perform hands-on work as part of the job.
- Be available for any shift within a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays.
- Work mandatory overtime when necessary.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED/Educational Equivalent
- FAA A&P License
- Valid US Driver's License
- Computer literacy
- Must pass a background check and drug screen upon contingent job offer
- An eagerness to learn and willingness to train
- Ability to access elevated aircraft areas via ladders, lift trucks, boom lifts and other devices
- Strength to lift 50 pounds, physical flexibility and ability to work in confined spaces
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Consideration for applicants with criminal histories consistent with the Fair Chance Ordinance.

Salary/Compensations
- Starting hourly rate is $41.48
- The starting rate for this role is $43.73.
