About the Role
Seeking Registered Nurses for our state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab. St. Francis Hospital is New York State's only specialty designated cardiac center and offers one of the leading cardiac care programs in the nation. The successful candidate will circulate and scrub cardiac diagnostic and percutaneous coronary interventional (PCI) procedures, admit and recover pre and post cath patients, cross-train to hemodynamic monitoring, perform hemostasis, provide direct nursing care, and supervise Patient Care Associates and Cath Lab Assistants. On-call is required.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub cardiac diagnostic and percutaneous coronary interventional (PCI) procedures.
- Admit and recover pre and post cath patients.
- Cross-train to hemodynamic monitoring.
- Perform hemostasis.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients.
- Supervise and direct the activities of Patient Care Associates and Cath Lab Assistants.
- On call required.
Requirements
- Graduate of BSN program.
- NYS Nurses License.
- 2 years Critical Care Experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association.
