About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in government facilities by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, deterring security incidents, and supporting access control. Provide professional customer service and clear communication while assisting visitors, employees, and the public.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate public services or facility locations.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
