About the Role
The Porter provides the cleaning and upkeep of the warehouse. Duties may include cleaning restrooms, emptying trash and stocking supplies in all warehouse areas, including break room and restrooms. The Porter must also be able to respond to business management needs in a timely and effective manner.
Responsibilities
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, restroom cleaning etc.)
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as needed
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects, as needed
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Uses personal protective equipment correctly
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Shows initiative in regard to job functions and accepts new responsibilities
- Timely completion of all assigned tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have weekend availability throughout the year
- Flexibility to work additional hours, including holidays, may also be required
- Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to Brewster office
- Ability to work effectively with a team.
- Dependable, reliable, and punctual
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Must be capable of working outdoors on job site, as needed.

- Kneeling: regularly
- Standing / Walking: constantly
- Pushing / Pulling: up to 50 pounds, frequently
