About the Role
Base is seeking a Web Designer to own and evolve basepowercompany.com, designing and building web experiences that balance visual craft, clear storytelling, and conversion. This role involves using AI-assisted tools to implement designs and drive growth, working closely with Growth, Marketing, and Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and ongoing evolution of basepowercompany.com, from landing pages and product launches to improvements across the existing site.
- Design and build web experiences that balance exceptional visual craft, clear storytelling, and conversion.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to independently implement designs, prototype ideas, and ship improvements.
- Maintain and evolve our web design system, creating reusable components that help us move faster without sacrificing quality.
- Work with Growth and Marketing to shape content, test ideas, and iterate based on performance and user feedback.
- Ensure a high-quality experience across devices, considering accessibility, SEO, and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in web or digital design, with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft.
- Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, interaction, and responsive design, with an understanding of how design influences usability and conversion.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools to turn designs into working experiences.
- Experience working with design systems and creating reusable components.
- Strong proficiency in Figma, good writing instincts, and a willingness to learn new tools.
- A high degree of ownership and resourcefulness. You can take an idea from concept to launch without constant direction.
