About the Role
Fogo de Chão is hiring a Bartender to provide guests with an unforgettable dining experience by showcasing the Culinary Art of Churrasco. This role is crucial in igniting fire and joy, caring for our team, guests, and communities, and feeding a Purposeful Future.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, determine beverage preferences, make recommendations, and take orders.
- Inform customers about new beverages and specials.
- Respond to customer questions about menu items, make recommendations, and upsell.
- Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages.
- Verify customer identification to ensure legal age for alcohol purchase.
- Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages, complying with all liquor laws and food safety regulations.
- Take inventory and order supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked.
- Prepare and serve menu items according to Fogo de Chao recipes and guidelines.
- Handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently, and clean and clear tables.
- Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and balance the cash register.
- Educate self and assist co-workers in understanding basic bar vocabulary.
- Perform all reasonable tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged hours.
- Must have a high level of endurance and mental acuity.
- Must have toughness to manage conflict and deal successfully with high stress situations.
