About the Role

Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions to assist practitioners and management in daily office operations. This is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

Prep and assist in the exam room
Triage Patients
Collects urine and draw blood samples
Take and record height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
BLS certification
All roles require on-site presence.
Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Skills

Mandarin or Korean Speaking
English, Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, Cantonese
Medical Assistant experience within a Neurosurgery healthcare setting.
One-year medical assistant experience or internship in a physician practice
Epic experience
Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT

Location

Flushing, New York
Travel will be required within Queens.
