About the Role
The Cafe Supervisor leads daily dining operations, focusing on enhancing the guest experience, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring efficient service flow in a high-traffic environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a polished, welcoming environment reflecting high-end hospitality standards.
- Ensure tables are cleared, sanitized, and reset quickly.
- Assign tasks and adjust staffing in real time to maintain seamless service during peak hours.
- Monitor the floor to anticipate needs and prevent bottlenecks.
- Direct cleaning staff to maintain efficient table turnover.
- Uphold strict sanitation standards.
- Identify training needs and development opportunities for team members.
- Report safety hazards, equipment issues, and repair needs promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-traffic restaurant, cafeteria, or dining hall.
- Strong ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment.
- Highly vigilant, with the ability to monitor table turnover.
- Sociable, approachable, and confident directing staff.
- High emotional intelligence.
- Able to take direction and adapt quickly to changing needs.
Skills
- Experience with banquet-style service is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
