About the Role
Success Academy has reimagined public education and is nationally recognized for outstanding academic results. This role will design, write, and revise new and existing English course materials aligned to the K-12 English program's vision, which aims to cultivate a lifelong love of reading and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Writing rigorous, engaging, and college-preparatory curriculum centered on rich texts, critical analysis, and academic writing
- Curating high-merit texts and creating all necessary lesson materials for assigned units of study
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the successful implementation of the English program
- Completing ad hoc tasks, projects, and initiatives to support the Education Institute department and school-based educators
Requirements
- A 4-year college degree with an outstanding record of academic achievement and leadership
- Demonstrated content knowledge and expertise in English literature and writing or a related field through relevant coursework or experience
- For Specialist, 2+ years of relevant professional experience
