About the Role
Mosaic is seeking a Claims Adjuster, Representations and Warranties, to evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages, monitor assignments to experts, and provide outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine extent of exposure to insured and company
- Directly and closely monitor assignments to experts and defense counsel
- Provide outstanding customer service and build longstanding relationships with insureds, brokers, and partners
- Communicate coverage positions to insureds
- Set and monitor reserves within authority
- Report to reinsurers and other insurance partners
- Support business leaders on an as-needed basis on claims and underwriting-related issues
- Attendance at mediations and trials, as necessary
Requirements
- At least five years of experience as claims adjuster
- Prior Transactional Liability Experience (Representation and Warranties; Tax Liability) and JD preferred
- Knowledge of industry best practices and systems, including Lloyd’s ECF
- Familiarity with LMA is preferred, but not required
- Strong relational skills, particularly in adverse or high-pressure situations
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills; ability to deal with customers and business partners in a professional manner
- Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based on detailed analysis of complex issues
- Start-up nature of company necessitates willingness to adapt as needed to help team
