About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide professional customer service and communication to staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and public agencies as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned government service locations, including building interiors, entrances, exterior areas, and perimeter areas, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
