About the Role
Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a specialty discount market. This role offers flexible scheduling, dependable hours, and the opportunity to supplement income or work towards a full-time career. You will be part of a team that positively impacts communities and customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, or telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading and receiving areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policies.
- Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Salary/Compensations
- USD $20.00/Hr.
