About the Role
Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations. Retail Pharmacy ensures the correct and safe dispensing of prescription medications to the general public, advising patients and physicians on medications.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers under direct supervision.
- Maintaining open communication and availability to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
- Participating in the supervision of technical staff.
- Ensuring pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
- Providing professional consultation to patients and prescribers.
- Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a pharmacist in retail pharmacy is required.
- Pharmacy license in good standing in the state of NY.
- Immunization Certification or willingness to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- 340B experience preferred.
- May require vendor credentialing.
